According to Watchman Nee, a prolific reader and profound teacher of the Bible, the most effective way to read the Word is not sporadically by inspiration, but according to a schedule (Reading the Bible, pp. 12-13, Nee).

We realize that good habits are hard to build and easy to break, and that establishing a regular regimen of Bible-reading has never been an easy task.
